E7 & 8 Learn About Early New York History

On January 12, Elementary 7 and 8 went on a field trip to The National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York (NSCDSNY) Headquarters House Museum in Manhattan.
The museum offers an interactive program aligned with New York's Social Studies curriculum. The docent, Joie, explained what life was like for children living in New Amsterdam during the colonial era. The students dressed up in traditional clothing and learned a minuet. It was a fabulous trip!
