Adult Agency & Community Connections
Connecting students and families with appropriate agencies before leaving high school can help support a successful transition into adulthood. Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides information, referrals, and assistance with connections based on each student's individual needs and eligibility.
ACCES-VR
Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) provides services to eligible individuals with disabilities to support employment, career training, postsecondary education, and other vocational goals.
OPWDD
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) provides services and supports to eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. Services may support employment, community participation, independent living, and other areas of adult life.
Helen Keller National Center (HKNC)
The Helen Keller National Center for DeafBlind Youths and Adults (HKNC) provides specialized services, training, and resources for individuals who are DeafBlind.
CTS may also connect students and families with other community organizations, colleges, training programs, employment services, and adult service providers based on individual needs.
