Middle School Poets to be Published

Teacher Micole Kaplan, with help from IA Spencer Stelmach, introduced students to the work of William Carlos Williams (1883-1963). Williams was among the leaders of the Imagist movement and often wrote of American subjects and themes. Students were challenged to write a poem in the style of Williams' The Red Wheelbarrow and include an image that reflected the inspiration for their poem. Congratulations to all six students in the class who were selected to have their poems published in an upcoming anthology by Creative Communications.
