CEASD & NYSAIS Survey Teams Recommend Full Accreditation
Lexington School for the Deaf would like to recognize everyone – staff, families, students, board members - who prepared for and participated in this week’s accreditation visit from the Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf, Inc. (CEASD) and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). Accreditation by each of these organizations means that a school has conducted a rigorous self-study process, has met specific accreditation standards, and is committed to a process of continuous quality improvement in their educational program. At today’s exit report, both the CEASD and NYSAIS survey teams recommended full accreditation. Their recommendations will be shared with the Boards of their respective organizations, where the final accreditation decision will be made.
