Mask Update - 3-18-2022

Starting on Monday, March 21, 2022, masking for students and staff at Lexington School will become optional in accordance with NYC DOE regulations.

• Students  and staff may continue to wear their masks if they choose.  However, one exception is that all students/staff returning from quarantine after 5 days will be required to wear a mask for the remaining 5 days of their quarantine period.
• Students under the age of 5 are required to continue wearing their mask.
• Anyone entering Health Services must wear a mask.
• Students need to continue to wear masks while riding on the school bus
• All current social distancing efforts will remain in place.
There will be NO remote option for students who do not want to come to school because of a mask optional policy.  The only remote instruction we will have is for quarantine support for those students who are quarantined or isolating due to COVID protocols.
Please know that everyone here at Lexington stands together so that our students can experience a healthy and happy learning environment for the rest of the school year.  We will continue to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases which may, at any time, result in revisiting this policy and our Lexington mask mandate.   Lastly, when any additional information regarding federal or state mask mandates is released, we will communicate it with you.
 Stay Healthy!
 Thank you.
