Dear Lexington Families,

The death of George Floyd, and the violence toward the Black Community has had an enormous impact on our country, as well as around the world. Here, at Lexington, we foster a community of diversity. We welcome, respect, honor, and support every single student and family. We celebrate our differences and we learn from each other. We have no tolerance for discrimination based on race, religion, gender, culture, language, or disability.

George Floyd’s tragic death brings feelings of anger, frustration, and a desire to want to do something. We will continue to engage in important and healthy discussions among Lexington students and staff. We have a wonderful and caring PBIS team who are here to support our students. We have caring and involved educational faculty members who will further these dialogues in the classroom. We will look for resources to aid in these discussions, and will offer resources to parents, as well.

We will continue to learn more about the Black Lives Matter movement with these ongoing discussions, classroom teachings, and together, our students, families and staff will be united in the stand against racism, violence, and injustice.

In solidarity,
Jane Moran, Principal
