Dear Lex Families,
It’s June! Time flies just way too fast!
I hope you and your family are safe and healthy as you read this memo. Thank you so much for your understanding as we have been adjusting, like you, to the drastic changes in life during the past few months. The school administrators are extremely appreciative of our students, families, teachers, and instructional assistants for their positivity and flexibility.
In order to remain in compliance with an 182-day academic school year, the month of June will look a bit different, as there will not be full weeks of school. Please note this is all tentative pending further guidance from New York State.
There will be school (distance learning) the following weekdays in June:
June 4th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, and 26th
There will NOT be school the following weekdays in June:
June 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 22nd and 23rd
As per usual, there will be no school/work on the weekends. The last day of school will tentatively be on June 26th.
In closing, we will start our summer school program on July 1st and end on August 11th. Please let your classroom teacher know as soon as possible for planning purposes, if you want your child to continue virtual/remote summer school.

Estimadas familias de Lex-
¡Es junio! ¡El tiempo pasa muy rápido!
Espero que usted y su familia estén seguros y saludables mientras leen este memo. Muchas gracias por su entendimiento mientras nos hemos estado ajustando, así como usted, a estos cambios drásticos en la vida durante los últimos meses. Los administradores de la escuela están extremadamente agradecidos por nuestros estudiantes, familias, maestros y asistentes instruccionales por su positivismo y su flexibilidad.
Para poder permanecer de conformidad con los 182 días del año escolar académico, el mes de junio será un poco distinto, ya que no estaremos teniendo semanas completas de clases. Por favor este consiente que todo esto es tentativo en la espera de mayor orientación del estado de Nueva York.
Habrá clases a distancia las siguientes semanas de junio:
El 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 24, 25 y 26 de junio
No habrá clases en los siguientes días de las semanas de junio:
El 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22 y 23 de junio
Como usual, no habrá clases/trabajo en los fines de semana. El ultimo día de clases tentativo será el 26 de junio.
Para cerrar, comenzaremos nuestro programa de clases de verano el 1ro de julio y culminarán el 11 de agosto. Por favor déjele saber a su maestro de salón hogar lo más pronto posible por razones de planeación, si usted desea que su hijo/a continúe asistiendo a clases de verano remotas/virtuales.
