Comptroller's Press Conference

On October 24th, Lexington was honored to host New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli's press conference on "An Economic Snapshot of the Greater Jackson Heights Area."

The event was attended by many dignitaries, including Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, NYS Assemblyman 34th District Michael DenDekker, NYS Assemblywoman 39th District Catalina Cruz, NYC Council Member 25th District Daniel Dromm, NYPD CO 115th Precinct - Inspector Carlos Ortiz, Queens Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas Grech and Lexington Board of Trustee members Albert Hlibok and Ralph Reiser. At the conclusion of the press conference, Lexington's Elementary 7 students performed a hip hop-style dance with a robotic theme. The children were thrilled to receive certificates of commendation from Comptroller DiNapoli and presented him with a sign name that incorporated the ASL sign for "t."
