We are empowering Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing students and their families.
Hearing Loss Association of America's (HLAA) Walk4Hearing is a nationwide campaign that brings hope to people with hearing loss in 20 cities, joining them in their communities to raise awareness and show support. Teams of family and friends join with HLAA Chapters and nonprofit business partners to raise funds for local programs and promote hearing health.

Join Carlos Aponte-Salcedo, Jr. and Danny Biland as they walk to support Lexington's Family Support Fund.  To support this event, sign up to walk (3.1 miles or 5 kilometers) or donate money to the cause.   Lexington School will receive 40% of the proceeds for those who donate or walk in our name. The money will go to the Family Support Fund. The purpose of this emergency fund is to help support our families who may have:
  •  A situation or need at home where they are unable to provide basic wellness and hygiene care for their child.
  • A challenge providing accessibility devices to support their child’s academic and social/emotional involvement, professional development and independent living skills, or safety at home.
  • A challenge covering transportation to Lexington when they have been identified and asked to help mentor, present, or support other families in our community.
The goal is to raise $1,000.
