Drama Students Join Shubert Kick-Off
On May 5th, three Lexington students - Alexandra, Andrew & Jomar - joined teens from throughout the five boroughs in a performance of "Brand New Day" from The Wiz to promote the festival.

Join us in a round of hand waves for Lexington's Drama Club! Their production of Diverse Connections has been selected as a finalist in the 2021 Shubert High School Theatre Festival. This is the second time in three years that Lexington's Drama Club has been invited to participate in the Festival, which recognizes five outstanding theatrical productions from NYC public schools.
This year’s Festival performance will be held virtually on May 26th at 7 pm and will be streamed on Playbill and Shubert.NYC. Each school will perform a short selection, along with appearances by Broadway actors and theatre professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to attend virtual workshops with professional actors as part of the Festival schedule.
