Drama Club News

Lexington's Drama Club has been invited to participate in two theatre festivals, The Annual Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival, presented virtually on May 17th, and the Annual Queens Borough Arts Festival, to be released virtually in early June 2021.
For the second time in three years, a Lexington Drama Club production has been chosen for showcasing in the annual Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival. This year's Festival will be held virtually on May 17th. Participation in the Festival was awarded to five outstanding public high school theatrical productions from across New York City. Lexington was selected for its original production, Diverse Connections. Lexington students will be featured in a selection of clips from the production including “Vanity and the Reflection,” “Through My Son’s Eyes,” “I Am Me,” and “Who Am I?” as well as a special musical performance with students from all five schools.

The Lexington Drama Club has also been selected for showcasing in the seventh annual Queens Borough Arts Festival. The jurors selected Diverse Connection’s "Nap Revolution,” to be featured in the Festival’s virtual showcase, which will be released in early June 2021 with students highlighted on the Festival webpage.
