As the coronavirus pandemic persists, the safety and well-being of everyone at Lexington School continue to be our top priorities. During the three public sessions with Lexington School families, we listened for other areas of agreement and, in doing so, identified these recurring themes:
1) Concern for the safety of pupil transportation,
2) Concern for the absence of any information or schedule from NYC DOE's Office of Pupil Transportation,
3) A desire that plans should reflect and account for the fact that the Lexington student population is from all five boroughs, not just a neighborhood area, and
4) That the Virtual Learning Plan is the preferred option, over the Hybrid Learning Plan.
We will begin the School Year with Virtual Learning Plan for the first Quarter which starts on Wednesday, September 9th and runs through Friday, November 13th.
On Monday, August 31st, families will receive a letter detailing information about Virtual Learning from our School Principal and their child's School Supervisor.
On Wednesday, September 9th, families will receive a joint letter from our Superintendent and PBIS/Mental Health Department regarding Lexington School's plan to support every child.
