High School Internship Employer Appreciation Luncheon

All seniors at the Lexington School participate in a twice-weekly internship placement where they learn job skills, work habits, and confront the challenge of workplace communication with coworkers who may not know sign language. Over twenty organizations have offered internship placements, from schools to restaurants to LaGuardia Airport.
Every year, the students and staff hold an Employer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize the people and organizations that help make these placements possible and provide on-the-job mentoring. This year, NY1 News came to Lexington to report on the school’s internship program and the luncheon. Click the image below to view the news story on NY1.com (not captioned).
