Thanks to JFK Rotary Club & Jet Blue!

Three elementary classes had an incredible time at the JFK Rotary Club's annual children's holiday party. The kids met Elsa & Anna, danced with a reindeer, played "duck, duck, goose" with a snowman and had mock sword fights with Sparky the Islander's dragon. Lexington Drama Club - December 14 & 15 at 7 pm

This year's production is Oh, Brother!, an adaptation of Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors. Tickets are available on-line or at the door starting at 6 pm on the nights of the performances. Tickets are $5 for students (with ID), $10 for adults, and free for 5 and under. Go to the Development tab, Special Events, on this website to purchase tickets.

FLTC Pumpkin Bread Sale

The Foreign Language Transition Class held a successful pumpkin bread sale with 110 loaves baked for distribution prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. Great work, team!

Lexington Hosts Parent Open House

Lexington's Parent Open House on September 26th provided a chance for parents and guardians to visit classrooms and learn about Deaf resources at the school and in the community. A special thanks to Sorenson Communications for donating $1,000 to sponsor the event!

Tim Albert Visits Lexington

Tim Albert, president of the National Black Deaf Advocates, visited Lexington on September 27th to share his educational and professional journey. Students in the upper grades enjoyed hearing Tim's inspirational story, while students in the lower grades had read-a-louds with Tim. Thanks, Tim, for an awesome visit!

Sunshine 2.0 Visits Lexington

Sunshine 2.0, a Deaf performance group from Rochester Institute of Technology/National Technical Institute of the Deaf visited Lexington as part of our Deaf Awareness Week activities. Sunshine 2.0 provided workshops and a performance focused on empowerment and communication.

ASL Bingo & Bake Sale

November 17th (Friday) from 6:30 - 9 pm. The Jr. NAD (National Association of the Deaf) Chapter at Lexington School is hosting a fundraiser for the club. Admission is $5.00. They will be selling baked goods and raffle tickets in addition to playing bingo.
